1v1 Gulags return in Warzone 2.0

Earlier today, Activision announced the return of the 1v1 Gulag, a fan-favorite format.

Earlier it was revealed that Warzone 2 would get a new 2v2 Gulag format, the idea of which left many players frustrated. The planned system first appeared during a Call of Duty Next showcase, giving players a glimpse of what was to come.

But it seems like players can breathe a sigh of relief as Activision announced today that 1v1 Gulags would be returning instead.

The announcement was posted via the official Raven Software and Infinity Ward accounts on Twitter and read, “1v1’s are back in Battle Royale.”

“Gulag updates are coming in Season 02. We’ll be posting more details on that in the studio blog next week.”

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 would be delayed and released on February 15th, rather than the previously assumed February 1st.

Expanding on the announcement of the delay, Infinity Ward, the developers of Modern Warfare 2, said they will release more details about the upcoming Season 2 in a “Deep Dive Studio Blog” next week.
