343 Studios presents new Halo Shroud screen gear

Several updates included in the upcoming Halo Infinite Season 3 were announced during the Holiday Community livestream on Wednesday. The new season, titled Echoes Within, was originally scheduled for November of this year; However, delays have pushed back the start of the season to March 2023.
Notably, a roadmap released in September scrapped the addition of split-screen co-op in favor of more specific content additions to “better reflect player feedback and quality of life updates.” Instead, a 100-tier Battle Pass was announced alongside new weapons, maps, and Shroud Screen gear.
The Shroud Screen gear, which has been an issue for players, is expected to be an enticing addition to its implied use.

The Shroud Screen equipment was used by developers in the Holiday Community Livestream. “When you’re inside, you can’t see out — your radar also kind of goes dark,” Sean Baron, head of the Halo Infinite Live Service, explained on the livestream. “It’s a really fun device to play with.”
Using the Shroud Screen gear allows players to conceal themselves from enemies at the expense of seeing their own immediate surroundings. While incoming and outgoing fire can penetrate equipment, it can be used to confuse enemies and gain the upper hand by stealthily moving to a new location.
A handful of new armor and weapons were also presented ahead of the Shroud Screen, as well as a new main menu screen.
Halo Infinite Season 3 begins March 7th and ends June 27th.
