A 24-year-old Hammer attacker faces jail after committing a brutal attack that left her victim “covered in blood.”
Newport’s Kaya Price admitted to grievously assaulting Naeema Nassa during the bloody attack in the city on May 2, 2021.
Stephen Thomas, representing the defendant, moved that the trial be adjourned for a prejudice report.
He said Price had already been convicted of joint assault in 2020, according to South Wales Argus.

Price is due to be sentenced on February 17 and has been released on bail
The defendant was tried later that year on the more serious charge of intentional aggravated assault.
But prosecutor Gareth James said Newport Crown Court Price’s guilty plea to the lesser charge was acceptable.
Judge Lucy Crowther warned the accused: “All options for conviction remain open.”
“It is in your interest to work with the probation service as they will be looking at alternatives to custody,” she added.
Price is scheduled to be sentenced on February 17 after being granted bail.
