A beaming Prince Harry puts his arm around the Invictus Games athlete as she gifts him a sketch of herself in military fatigues posing with Princess Diana

Prince Harry beamed with joy as he was presented with a drawing of him with his late mother Princess Diana at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf today.
The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex received a pencil sketch from Canadian athlete Samantha Wilcox.
The drawing showed Diana in her famous “Elvis dress,” which she wore in Hong Kong in 1989.
Next to Diana was a picture of Harry in his military attire, which was apparently inspired by his wedding day.
The couple posed for a photo with fellow Team Canadian Patrick Gordon, who was seen topless in the photo. Harry opted for an open-collar shirt and black blazer, while Samantha wore a Canadian shirt and wore flags in her hair.

Samantha, from Frankford, Ontario, competes in cycling, table tennis and sitting volleyball at the Games.
She served 10 years in the Army and one year in the Air Force, joining the Canadian Special Operations Command, where she was injured.
“My injuries made me feel inferior and unable to do the things I loved.” “I felt isolated and alone,” she said.
She then decided to apply for the Invictus Games after seeing her fellow veterans compete against each other.
“To love something is to face whatever challenges come your way and in the end, no matter what path you take, you will ultimately succeed. “Everything happens for a reason.”
It comes as Harry left two boys full of joy today after giving them each a high-five while accompanied by bodyguards at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf.
The Duke of Sussex was led next to a stand by his security team, which included former US presidential bodyguard Chris Sanchez and former Metropolitan Police officer Dave Langdown, as the two boys held out their hands for a high-five.
After Harry happily obliged, the children – one of whom was draped in a Union Jack – jumped up and down in excitement, with one raising his fist in celebration.

The Duke was given a hero’s welcome in Germany by participants in the latest edition of the competition he founded for wounded and disabled military veterans.
He arrived at the event followed by dozens of excited schoolchildren who had been excused from class to attend the event, and his chief bodyguard, Mr. Sanchez, led the way as the 38-year-old walked briskly to his seat in the stands.
Harry, who is fifth in line to the throne, also posed for photos with competitors and was in high spirits today as he sang along to the athletics event.
To the cheers of the crowd, the Duke took his place in the stands of the Merkur Spiel-Arena along with half a dozen of his entourage.
This year’s competition runs until September 16th. Harry says he will follow as much of the action as possible during the games.
A total of 550 sick, wounded and injured former and current military personnel from 21 countries participate in ten team and individual sports.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, claimed in his explosive memoir Spare, officially released on Tuesday, that Prince William, 40, was scheduled to spend the night with him and friends at the Coworth Park Hotel on the eve of his wedding to Meghan Markle on May 19, 2018 . Team UK, captained by Royal Navy submarine officer Lieutenant Commander James Rogers, was supported by the Royal British Legion in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.
Harry announced at the opening ceremony on Saturday that Meghan will be cheering for Nigeria at this year’s Games after discovering she is of Nigerian descent.
The Duke said that while the Sussexes were not “favourites”, the discovery meant things were likely to become “a bit more competitive” between the couples.
“We are also very pleased that new nations are joining us,” said the Duke in front of the crowded arena. “Let’s hear it for Colombia, Israel and Nigeria.”
“I’m not saying we’re the favorites back home… but since my wife found out she’s of Nigerian descent, it’s probably going to be a little more competitive this year,” he added.
