As her one-year marriage to Sam Asghari comes to an end in an ironclad prenup, Britney Spears’ massive net worth is making headlines again.
Spears, who was named the world’s most powerful celebrity by Forbes in 2002, has amassed incredible wealth through her hugely successful entertainment career.
Her many accomplishments include her hit records, countless tours, not to mention her popular four-year stint in Las Vegas, which reportedly grossed $137.7 million.
In 2021, her net worth was reported by forbes It’s $60 million — a low tally compared to peers like Beyoncé and Rihanna. By this time she was paying millions in legal fees for her conservatory work and had stopped performing and making music.
At the time, her assets were primarily in real estate, cash, and brokerage accounts.

Spears owns properties across the country and her real estate portfolio currently includes the mansion in Thousand Oaks that she shares with her 29-year-old, with whom she is estranged.
The couple invested $11.8 million in the property, but a large chunk of that came from Britney’s fortune.
According to the marriage contract, Britney and Sam agreed to transfer the home to a limited liability company, or LLC, in the event of a divorce.
In 2020 is the Wall Street Journal noted that Britney bought a property in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, in 1999 for just $29,362. Her mother was staying at the residence at the time, but it has been reported that Britney occasionally stayed there as well.
She previously owned two properties in New York City — a penthouse, which she sold for $6 million in 2006, and a one-bedroom apartment in the Silk Building, which she sold for $1.48 million. The prices at which she bought them were unknown.
She has owned numerous multi-million dollar homes in the Los Angeles area, including the Malibu home she bought during her unhappy marriage to Kevin Federline.
The mansion was purchased in 2004 for $6.3 million before being sold for $10 million three years later.

Since she and Sam tied the knot, Britney has increased her fortune by signing a $15 million deal with publishers Simon & Schuster for a full-length memoir called The Woman In Me.
The star also returned to music by releasing two new singles, a new version of Tiny Dancer with Elton John and Mind Your Business with will.i.am.
Britney also signed a basic rights agreement for the jukebox music Once Upon a One More Time, meaning she can receive revenue from ticket sales, as well as touring and licensing.
An insider previously told the New Yorker that Spears was already worth millions of dollars in the early 2000s, but that was reduced to just “a few million dollars” when her conservatory office was founded in 2008.
The arrangement provided for a weekly allowance of $2,000 for the singer, but her father paid himself about $16,000 a month to run the conservatory, and her former court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham III, received an annual salary of $520,000 US dollar expiration.

It is currently unclear if the prenuptial agreement states if Sam is entitled to the money they made after their marriage.
The prenup said Sam was entitled to “$1 million every two years” of their marriage, with a $10 million cap after 15 years US Weekly.
According to court documents, Asghari is asking the millionaire for spousal support and his legal fees, but the marriage is unlikely to be denied.
Sam has also reportedly renounced any claims to Britney’s music collection and his name is not listed on the deeds of their shared home in Thousand Oaks, California.

Asghari’s attorney, Neal Hersh, said things have yet to be worked out about her finances – despite her “iron-clad” prenuptial agreement protecting the singer’s premarital assets.
‘[Sam] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of each party’s assets and liabilities,” Hersh wrote.
“There are various community and quasi-community assets and liabilities, the full nature and extent of which are unknown.” [Sam] at this time.’
A source told the outlet that the prenup is unlikely to be thrown out and that it’s more likely that “Britney will write a check to Sam and that’ll be the end of it.”
