It was announced on Wednesday that Kim Cattrall will make a surprise return as Sex And The City actress Samantha Jones in the second season of the spin-off And Just Like That… – despite her explosive feud with star Sarah Jessica Parker .
Kim, 66, will only return for a “Cliffhanger,” which she filmed in New York on March 22 without seeing or speaking to stars SJP, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
The scene was also filmed without AJLT showrunner Michael Patrick King. In the scene, Samantha, who has relocated to London, will have a phone conversation with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw – a move that will no doubt stun fans.
Their feud has long been documented. Sarah remains shy and defiant while Kin strikes in spectacular fashion.
Now, after public digs, wage discrepancies and nasty digs, let’s take a look at Kim and Sarah Jessica’s row…

What wage differences are there? COLD CASH
It’s long been reported that Sarah earned a much higher salary than her co-stars during her time on the show — which eventually led to the series going off the air in 2004.
In a 2004 interview on the pay gap, “After six years, I felt it was time for us all to share in the financial fortunes of Sex and the City…”
“When they didn’t seem to want to do that, I thought it was time to move on.”
Four years after the series ended, it was reported that Kim was furious over Sarah Jessica’s title as executive producer in the second season, which increased her salary to $300,000.
Upon learning of this, Kim reportedly tried to negotiate a higher salary – which was met with outrage as it was claimed the other stars “won’t even sit with her for dinner”.
It was also pointed out that Kim didn’t sit at the Emmys with the other actresses in 2004 — to which she said, “Are we best friends?” No. We are professional actresses. We have our own separate lives.’
Of their friendship, Kim told Piers Morgan: We were never friends – we were colleagues. And in a way it’s a very healthy place because you have a clear boundary between your professional life and also your personal life.”

Kim’s public digs at Sarah Jessica were numerous, but an unexpected reaction followed the tragic death of her brother Chris.
In February 2018, 55-year-old Chris went missing after leaving the house unlocked without his phone and wallet, prompting Kim to ask for information.
It was with a heavy heart that she then confirmed that he was found dead near his home in Alberta, Canada. No further details were given, but it was noted that police “had no reason to believe anything suspicious was involved in his death.”
Shortly after his death, Kim took to Instagram to thank her fans and her “Sex and the City” castmates for their support, before attacking Sarah.
Four days later, following her thank you, Kim shared a picture with the words, “You’re not my family.” You’re not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop taking advantage of our tragedy to restore your “nice girl” personality.
She added a caption to the shot addressed to Sarah, which read, “My mom asked me today, ‘When will this hypocrite leave you alone?'” Your continued outreach is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now …

‘That’s a no from me’: Kim’s vows to avoid and just because…
In 2019, And Just Like That rumors began, with Samantha’s presence causing widespread rumors before it was revealed that Kim refused to be a part due to unrest behind the scenes.

Parker replied, “I don’t think I would because I think there’s just too much public sentiment of hers that she’s shared.” I haven’t participated in articles or read them, although people are inclined to let me know.”
“We didn’t go to Kim about that, you know,” Parker said. “After we didn’t do the film and the studio couldn’t fulfill what she wanted, we have to listen to her and listen to what was important to her.”
“It didn’t fit what was important or necessary to us.” “There’s a very clear line between Samantha and Kim,” Parker continued.
