A “much loved” young man was killed in Bristol yesterday after a tragic incident.
The boy, who is believed to be in his late teens, died in hospital last night after suffering serious injuries in the St Pauls area.
Around 11 p.m., rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident and although the teenager could not be officially identified, his family is aware of the death.
A community leader even made a “heartfelt plea for peace” when police arrested another teenager in connection with the incident.
“I woke up to hear that another youth had died in St. Paul’s,” Eastville Councilwoman Lorraine Francis tweeted.

“Sad times for the community and their loved ones.” “As a councilman and as a person, I send a heartfelt appeal for peace.”
A member of the St Pauls community also told Bristol Live: “That was a boy who was very loved here, everyone knew they liked him.” The whole community is in shock, people are very upset and say, “No, not him.”
Avon and Somerset Police have now opened an investigation into the incident, with a cordon remaining in place at St Pauls.
Officials have not yet released any information about the nature of the injuries sustained or the events of the previous night.
As of this morning, the arrested teenager remained in police custody, but it remains unclear why he was arrested.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called after a man was found with injuries in Grosvenor Road, St Paul’s, Bristol, just after 11pm on Friday 21 July.” The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and sadly passed away.
“Although no formal identification has taken place, it is believed he is in his late teens and is from Bristol. His immediate family is aware of this and has our deepest sympathy. They are supported by specially trained family representatives.
“A man, also in his late teens, was arrested and remains in police custody at this time.” We are very grateful to the community for their support of the officers who witnessed this tragic incident.
