A woman has been found dead at a home in Cranebrook, west Sydney

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a house in western Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the home in Borrowdale Way, Cranebrook, around 2.30pm on Sunday after a woman in her 30s was reportedly inside.

Witnesses reported seeing someone fleeing the scene.

Police set up a crime scene and locked down the home as the investigation began.

No arrests have been made yet.

Detectives are treating the woman’s death as suspicious and will spend the night looking for evidence.
