It was the second goal the striker scored in Brazil’s win over Group G opponents Serbia on 24 November.
Meanwhile, the second most engaged World Cup tweet came after Argentina’s opening goal against Croatia in Tuesday’s semifinals.
It only had two words – LIONEL MESSI, the goalscorer – but managed to garner 282,290 likes, 3,442 replies and 29,444 retweets.

At No. 20 was a tweet that read “obrigado” (thank you) to Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo in what may be his final World Cup appearance.
Other highlights include a tweet celebrating Croatia Luka Modric as a World Cup legend who amassed a total of 280,755 engagements.
A post reading “This is football” following the Netherlands’ dramatic two-goal comeback against Argentina in the quarter-finals garnered 212,359 engagements.
However, the biggest tweet of the World Cup could still be coming.
Two more World Cup games are coming up – the third/fourth place match between Morocco and Croatia on Saturday and the World Cup final between Argentina and France on Sunday.
“The World Cup is reaching its climax and soon fans will be getting nostalgic for the action of the tournament, so it’s fascinating to look back and see which moments made the biggest impact back then,” said a spokesman for Nostrabet.
“Richarlison’s goal is definitely one of the best this World Cup has seen so it’s a worthy winner while there were plenty of surprises, shocks and great performances to fill the top 10.”
