The forwards record the highest-ever chase in the Big Bash League as Matt Short hits the Hobart Hurricane’s 230-run target at the ‘Knock for the Ages’ at the Adelaide Oval to break the century… and they had three balls left !
The Adelaide Strikers made Big Bash League history after chasing the Hobart Hurricane monster total after an incredible performance from skipper Matt Short.
The opener hit an unbeaten century to reach the Hurricane’s 230-run goal after Ben McDermott, Caleb Jewell and Zak Crawley all hit a half-century in the first innings.
But Short staged a master class in clean hitting to get his side across the finish line, aided by star recruit Chris Lynn – who contributed 64 runs on a famous night at the Adelaide Oval.
