Aidan Turner has been pictured with his wedding ring tightened after speculation his marriage to Caitlin Fitzgerald could be faltering.

The actor, 39, has appeared with Jenna Coleman, 36, with whom he stars in upcoming West End play Lemons Lemons Lemons, a revival of the 2015 rom-com.

It comes after Aidan and his actress wife Caitlin FitzGerald, 39, were photographed separately without their wedding rings on outings in London.

Arriving in the British capital on Saturday, the Poldark star looked casual in a blue jumper and black trousers while tossing his essentials into a brown leather bag.

Meanwhile, the former Doctor Who companion wore a chocolate brown trench coat and pants in a lighter shade, along with white trainers.

MailOnline has reached out to Aidan and Caitlin’s representatives for comment.

Aidan was last photographed with Caitlyn spending a night at the cabaret in October.

Aidan and American star Caitlin tied the knot in August 2020 in an intimate ceremony with just six people present.

Speaking on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show, he said: “It was very private, there was almost nobody there.

“There were six people but no family and a few friends who were already in Italy because it was in the middle of lockdown.”

Aidan stars in the play Lemons Lemons Lemons, which premieres at the nearby Harold Pinter Theater in January.

The official synopsis of the upcoming play is, “Let’s just talk until it starts.” You will speak more than 123 million words in your lifetime. What will you do when they go out?’

“Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons is a tender and funny rom-com about what we say, how we say it, and what happens when we can’t say anything anymore.”

It comes after Aidan reflected on a now-famous picture of himself posing shirtless in Poldark, and said he never felt “objectified” amid the fan madness over the photo.

The actor was pictured shirtless working in the fields with a scythe in hand while starring as Ross Poldark in the BBC historical drama series.

The shirtless scythe scene, which appeared in the first series in 2015, caused quite a stir among fans at the time, with viewers taking to social media to comment on the moment.

But Aidan has now said that amid the massive fan reaction, he never felt “objectified” when reflecting on the debate that sparked around the photo at the time.

He told the Radio Times: “Was it safer to make a big deal out of that photo because it was a young man? Would the press have handled it the same way if it had been a young woman? I do not know. Might not. But I didn’t feel objectified.’
