He told BBC Breakfast on Wednesday morning: “I’ve done my research and alcohol is so expensive, it’s so expensive for a nice pint in Manchester or London and it was great to give up before Christmas.
“I checked last night and I think I’ve saved £1,000 in the last month between taxis, the food you eat afterwards and the drink, it’s so expensive and I’d rather spend that on other things.”
The reality star went on to reveal the reason he quit drinking, saying he “I don’t have a problem” but wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle.
