Amanda Holden was left with stitches on her forehead after a painful injury – as she left Heart FM

Amanda Holden was spotted with stitches on her forehead as she left Heart FM in London’s Leicester Square on Monday morning, with her pooch Rudie by her side.

The 52-year-old BGT judge wore the mysterious facial injury patched while her eyes were protected with black sunglasses. It’s unclear what led to Amanda needing stitches.

The star wore a gray knit co-ord and knee-high boots as she strutted out of the radio station to a waiting chauffeur-driven car.

Amanda glanced at her toned pins as she strolled along in the stone-colored miniskirt and matching sweater.

To complete her chic look, the mother-of-two wore a sleek pair of tan knee-high boots and carried her belongings in a large brown Michael Kors bag.

MailOnline has contacted Amanda Holden’s representatives for comment.

Back in May, it was reported that Amanda would be taking over from the late Paul O’Grady on his beloved show For The Love Of Dogs.

The comedian, who died in March aged 67, was known as an avid dog lover and had hosted the documentary series since 2012.

But after his untimely death, Amanda is now the favorite to take over.

As well as being a friend of the late entertainer, the TV presenter is also an ambassador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, where the show is set.

Accordingly The sunAmanda’s “takeover” is considered a sensitive topic, considering how closely the Lily Savage star was associated with the series.

As a result, ITV is still hesitant to address the issue now.

An insider told the publication: “Executives simply feel that it is too early to make concrete plans for the series as it has barely been two months since his death.”

“But the feeling at home is that this is what Paul would have wanted.” After all, he cared deeply about the animals in Battersea.

“Amanda is the natural choice to take on the job, not only because she is an experienced presenter, but because she also cares about the home and would do anything for it.”

During his career Paul hosted The Paul O’Grady Show, Blind Date and Blankety Blank as well as the multi-award winning ITV series For The Love Of Dogs. He also hosted the ITV celebrity game show Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line-Up.
