Adults can “feel like a kid all over again” when a captivating 18+ fairground that combines video games with riverside drinks opens.

Fairgame, which opens in London’s Canary Wharf on October 4th, will feature iconic games such as Whac-a-Mole, Roll-a-Ball Derby, Duck Shoot and Water Gun Clown with a unique twist.

Traditional fairground components, designed by interior designer Patrick McKinney, are on display alongside rubber duck installations, mirrors and light-up carousel booths.

Redesigned video games have been in development for four years and players will soon be able to compete for victory one of Fairgame’s big pink teddies – but children are forbidden.

The venue will feature three bars and a riverside terrace where visitors can enjoy carnival-themed cocktails Craft beer brewed in London.

“Fairgame is a very immersive experience where friends can eat, drink and be kids again,” entrepreneur Richard Hilton, who originated the idea, told Street Food Blog.

“The fairground has been loved for generations and now we’ve blended the video games everyone loves with cutting-edge know-how in an incredible setting.”

He described the 20,000-square-foot venue as an “epic night” where adults can feel nostalgic and indulge in new, never-before-seen games.

“The carnival games are designed to help us reawaken our happiest inner child,” says the event’s website.

The makers have also teamed up with street food names Burger&Beyond, Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana and Mexican, Dos Mas Tacos for an all round experience.

Fairgame’s website has raised £3.5m from BGF and £1.5m from a consortium of personal buyers.
