Andrew Tate has been released from prison on house arrest with his brother and two suspected accomplices

Andrew Tate thanked his supporters after he, his brother and two of his “angels” were released from a Romanian prison under house arrest as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged human trafficking, rape and criminal gang offences.
Tate, 36, was arrested in Bucharest on December 29 along with Tristan and two Romanian women – Luana Radu, 32, and Georgina Naghel, 28 – on suspicion of multiple crimes and forming an organized criminal group to exploit victims.
Earlier this month, all four appeared at a bail hearing that Tate hoped would see them released from prison and placed under house arrest after nearly three months behind bars.
That bail request was denied by a judge on Wednesday and all four appealed the decision. Today the Bucharest Court of Appeal ruled that the brothers and two suspected accomplices should be released from prison and placed under house arrest.
A spokesman for the Tate brothers told MailOnline exclusively: “We are pleased to announce that the Romanian judicial system has approved Andrew and Tristan Tate’s appeal against last week’s extension decision. You will be placed under house arrest during the investigation.

“We are grateful to the judge and courts for allowing the brothers to return home. Both brothers are looking forward to reuniting with their families in Romania and would like to thank all the supporters who have stood by them during this time.
“They will continue to fight to clear their name of these fabricated allegations; However, this is a big step in the right direction.”
All four were ordered to remain in the building where they live unless the courts have given them permission to leave.
Today, ahead of the result, Tate wrote on social media: “In the end, it will not be the words of our enemies that we will remember, but the silences of our friends.”
Georgiana Naghel, one of Tate’s Angels, who is also a US citizen, is described as a businesswoman and influencer who is believed to have been dating Tate for almost a year.
Meanwhile, Luana Radu was previously stationed at a police station in central Bucharest but left the police force eight years ago to pursue a career in video chat rooms, which attract men from around the world and have become a lucrative industry in Romania.
Tate and his brother were “stunned” by the decision to deny them bail earlier this week as they prepare to face another 30 days in jail on sex trafficking charges.
They were to be held in custody until April 29. None of the four have been formally charged.
While in prison, Tate became the latest target of a South Park parody in an episode starring a “Romanian sex trafficker” and a “toxic masculinity coach” whose appearance bore a resemblance to the toxic influencer.

Tate responded to the clip on Twitter, writing: “If my innocence is proven. I look forward to helping create the greatest South Park episode of all time.”
Although Tate has not yet been charged, six women have been identified by prosecutors as victims.
Last month, Tate, who is accused of recruiting young women and forcing them to create pornographic content online, lost another appeal against a judge’s earlier decision to extend his sentence for a third time.
In a document explaining a previous decision to keep them in prison, the judge took into account the “particular dangerousness of the defendants” and their ability to identify victims “at increased vulnerability in search of better life opportunities”.
Prosecutors said the Tate brothers recruited their victims by seducing them and falsely claiming they wanted a relationship or marriage.

The victims were then taken to properties on the outskirts of the capital, Bucharest, and forced to produce pornographic content for social media sites, which generated large financial gains, prosecutors said.
Tate, once a kickboxer, was removed from Big Brother in 2016 over a video that appeared to show him attacking a woman.
His shocking comments on social media led to his being temporarily banned from Twitter after he said women should “take responsibility” when they are sexually assaulted.
Despite the charges against him, Tate has garnered an immense following, particularly among young men.
