Andrew Wiggins’ girlfriend is calling out rumors on social media while he remains absent from the NBA

It’s not yet known when Andrew Wiggins will return to the Golden State Warriors, and he hasn’t commented since being furloughed – neither has his girlfriend.

Mychal Johnson, who has been subject to rumors of Wiggin’s absence from the reigning champions, has made no attempt to stay out of the limelight.

Johnson posted a TikTok Sunday titled “Just so we clear #idgaf,” in which she said, “Just to clear the air, I don’t worry about how nobody thinks of me. Keep fucking feeling it.’

She has previously branded the internet a “sick place” amid the rumours, although Wiggins has not commented on the matter.

Wiggins has not played since a February 13 win against Washington for “personal reasons” and his timetable for his return, if any, this season is unknown.

While the striker was out, rumors about the reasons for his absence began to pile up.

Wiggins and Johnson have been together for almost a decade, having met in high school and having two daughters together, Amyah, 4, and Alayah, who turns one next month.

Last week on Twitter, Johnson called the internet “sick.”

“The internet really is a sick place,” Johnson wrote alongside a puking emoji.

The next day, she shared another post, adding: “This is the furthest thing from the truth. It’s sad that you’re doing this at all.”

Draymond Green also addressed the rumors on his eponymous podcast last week, saying: “Sometimes people disgust me.”

One Warriors player told The Athletic that “he’s dealing with something real (expletive)”.

Earlier this month, Warriors coach Steve Coach remained semi-optimistic about Wiggin’s return, insisting the team give him the time and space he needed.

“I think that’s the hope (of his coming back), but there’s really nothing to report,” Kerr said ahead of the March 11 overtime win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

“We’re giving him his space while he’s engaged in something that’s way more important than a game.

Wiggins has not played since winning on February 13 for “personal reasons”.
