Antonio Cassano BLASTS Jose Mourinho and claims the Roma coach was ‘NEVER a great coach’

Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano BLASTS Jose Mourinho claims the Roma coach has ‘NEVER been a great coach’ and is delivering ‘disaster after disaster’ to the club.
Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano has blasted Jose Mourinho, claiming the Roma manager had ‘never been a great coach’ and was delivering ‘disaster after disaster’ to the club.
The Portuguese manager’s side beat Empoli 2-0 on Saturday, with former Blues star Tammy Abraham on the top scorer list, a result that leaves them third in Serie A.
The 60-year-old, who has previously won the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Cup, also won the inaugural Europa Conference League with the Giallorossi.
Still, the 40-year-old ex-Inter, Roma, Real Madrid and Sampdoria striker was quick to criticize Mourinho.
“Mourinho has never been a great coach, he just knew how to deal with the media and was a great communicator,” Cassano said on Christian Vieiri’s BoboTV podcast.

“He’s good with strong players, not with those who aren’t very good. It’s too easy to just be friendly with great players.
He continued: “It’s just disaster upon disaster with Roma, he made them spend money on Nemanja Matic and Rui Patricio, those were his decisions.
“The other day, this performance made me puke. He doesn’t know how to set up a team. Even with your second-rate squad, you must defeat Cremonese.”
Cassano, who played for Roma for five years, also disapproved of Mourinho’s dealings with Rick Karsdrop and Nicolo Zaniolo.

He said: “It was Mourinho’s disaster with Karsdorp to put him in the stocks, disband him and insult him in front of everyone. Now Karsdorp is coming back, who knows why?
“So that was a mess. As for Zaniolo, he’s allowed to talk about it and not why his Roma team is playing like c**p. It’s been a year and a half since this Roma team didn’t play real football.”

It comes after Mourinho revealed he could have left Roma in December but chose to stay.
