Apex Legends Developer respawn to open new studio

Today Respawn Entertainment announced that they will be opening their third studio that will focus on creating content for Apex Legends.
The new studio will be based in Madison, Wisconsin and will be led by Ryan Burnett, formerly of Raven Software and Epic Games. This is Respawn’s third new studio following an expansion to Vancouver in 2019.
Daniel Suarez, Respawn’s SVP Operations, said of the new studio, “Since day one, we’ve believed that Respawn isn’t a unique place, it’s a mindset: when passionate and talented people have creative freedom, they will achieve the unexpected.
This view helped us successfully expand to Vancouver in 2019, and as the workplace evolved, it helped us continue to work with the best the gaming industry has to offer, whether office, remote, or hybrid. We’re seeing that respawn mentality reflected in Madison, which has established itself as one of the great game development cities not just in the United States but around the world.”
We are really looking forward to this year @PlayApex and would like to take a moment to preview the next season in this dedicated Dev Diary.
Thank you to all the players and developers who have supported us over the past four years.

Apex Legends recently entered Season 16, which saw the game hit its all-time peak in player count, barring some significant overhauls to its roster of Legends.
“Having just wrapped up its 4th anniversary, our goal is to continue to make Apex Legends the premier battle royale on the market. I can’t think of a better complement than the immensely talented developers at Madison who work alongside our Los Angeles and Vancouver teams to help us shape what’s next,” said Suarez.
