Apex Legends Pro Claims EU Ladder Is ‘Unplayable’

An Apex Legends pro has been vocal about his frustration with the game’s EU rankings, claiming it’s “unplayable”.

Online multiplayer, especially ones like Apex or Warzone, have always had problems with cheaters. And while all development studios find new ways to deal with the problem players and ban them when they emerge, there will always be some that slip through the cracks.

And it seems that even more competitive modes like ranked are not free from cheaters. Elwin ‘KSWINNIIE’ Echeveria took to Twitter earlier in the week to describe some of the issues he’s encountered playing the EU Ladder.

“We have to change something for the EU rankings, it’s unplayable for quite a while. I’m playing a game, I’ve been targeted with a target bot and I don’t want to play anymore,” the player said.

“We need anti-cheat staff for the EU. No hate for anyone but nothing has been done in years.”

Others were quick to report similar experiences. Professional player @esdesu__ replied, saying “I wanted to hold the top 10-20 but because of cheaters that’s just impossible. I haven’t played in the rankings for over a month.”

It appears that the rampant scammers are driving many dedicated players away from Apex entirely. With little action, we could see Apex Legends player count dropping.
