Arsenal have entered the race to sign Brighton striker Leandro Trossard.

Mikel Arteta’s side have opened talks with Brighton over a potential move for the Belgian
Until yesterday Trossard was training alone in Brighton and now it is increasingly likely that he will leave.
sports mail believes the fee will be in the region of £20m.
Mikel Arteta has been on the hunt for a new striker this month and was on course to sign Mykhailo Mudryk.
But Chelsea’s late intervention dashed their hopes of signing the Ukrainian.
However, the Gunners have acted quickly to identify other targets and are now hoping to get a deal across the line for Trossard in the coming days.
Leandro Trossard’s future at Brighton is in the balance after a row with Roberto De Zerbi
Chelsea announced the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shaktar Donetsk last Sunday
Trossard and De Zerbi have had a public row of late, with the manager slamming the player’s attitude and pace of work since his return from the World Cup with Belgium.
Trossard did not appear for the Seagulls in 2023 and was not involved in his team’s 3-0 win over Liverpool after leaving training early without De Zerbi’s permission.
Rumors had been circulating that the Belgian was a key transfer target for Arsenal rivals Tottenham but it seems the Gunners are set to win the race for the attacking midfielder.
De Zerbi and Trossard have apparently been at odds since the Italian coach took over
In a statement released last week, Trossard’s agent Josy Comhair revealed his client’s strained relationship with De Zerbi.
“After the World Cup there was an argument between Leandro and a player in training over a small matter,” said Comhair.
“The manager hasn’t spoken to Leandro since then, which of course is neither conducive to the atmosphere nor performance-oriented.
“Last Monday the manager humiliated Leandro in the group and indicated that he didn’t want to see him anymore.
“A manager who hasn’t communicated directly with his player for four weeks is really incomprehensible. Incidentally, it is also the manager who has repeatedly pointed out that a transfer is the most convenient solution.’
Trossard is Brighton’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with seven goals in 16 appearances
Despite their recent clash, Brighton manager De Zerbi has hinted he would welcome the player back to training.
“I’m comfortable and ready to open doors for him because he’s a good guy and a very important player for us,” he said.
“He’s changing teams but he has to understand and work with my attitude, my way, because I’m the coach, I make the rules in the dressing room, just that.”
