Ashley Graham shares photos from the days leading up to the birth of her twins: ‘I really remember today’

Ashley Graham showed off her stomach in flashback photos on Friday – the snaps were taken just before the birth of her twins last year.

The 35-year-old model celebrated her looks in the days and hours leading up to the birth of her twins, Roman and Malachi, who turn one on Saturday.

The plus-size beauty shared some semi-nude snaps on Instagram Stories, writing that she “really remembers today” in a snap in which she wears a lime green turtleneck that’s pulled up to reveal her midsection.

In another, the cover model is wearing just a bra and captioned it, “Just hours before my two little blessings came out a year ago!” In another, she shared, “I can still feel Roman and Malachi kicking sometimes.”

Ashley shares the boys alongside her big brother Isaac, who turns three later this month, with her husband, cinematographer Justin Ervin, 35.

The busy mother of three has been open about all aspects of her life before and after the birth.

In an essay for Glamor in May, the 5’9″ supermodel wrote that the twins’ arrival after just three and a half hours of labor seemed easy, but she nearly lost her life during the home delivery due to blood loss and was unable to walk for a week afterwards .

“I’m telling you all of this — in pretty unflinching detail — because I believe in the importance of honesty.” She wrote, “By revealing things about myself that I hope will help others talk about what they do too have been through.”

The runway veteran has also been open about hair loss after childbirth and the difficulty in finding confidence in her body after giving birth.

“I’m the person who yelled at you all from the rooftops, ‘Love the skin you’re in.’ But for me, the births of all my three children threw a lot of that out the window.”

The sometimes harried mum has turned to humor when sharing her child-rearing challenges, including a recent social media post in which she tries to deal with all three little ones, writing: “Octo-mama is getting one whole new meaning.”
