Novak Djokovic canceled his training session at the Australian Open on Monday – sparking fears he could become the last star to withdraw from the tournament.
The fifth seed, who struggled with a hamstring problem at the Adelaide International Tune-up tournament in early January, has now stopped training for the second straight day.
Djokovic, 35, will play his first round match against Roberto Carballes Baena on Tuesday morning UK time.
Tournament organizers announced on Monday morning UK time that Djokovic’s session, which was due to start at 19:00 local time/8:00 GMT, had been removed from the official schedule.
The news comes after a ‘devastated’ Nick Kyrgios pulled out of his home tournament on Monday with a knee injury.
