Bridges (pictured) says she really doesn’t know where all the animosity is coming from – but she will prove she’s the better boxer when they meet in the ring
O’Connell has vowed to ‘punch’ Bridges and claims the former Sydney math teacher is scared of her.
Bridges says she really doesn’t know where all the animosity is coming from – but she will prove she’s the better boxer when they meet in the ring.
“She just hates me and we never met,” Bridges told the Daily Mail Australia.
“She keeps saying things about me, calling me a ‘skanky stripper’ – I’m apparently ‘naked’ because I’m wearing lingerie.”
“Everyone wears underwear. What the hell! The message I’m spreading is: stop judging women. I embrace my femininity.”

Shannon O’Connell (pictured) has vowed to punch holes in bridges and claims the former Sydney maths teacher is afraid of her. She has also been dubbed the Queen of Australian boxing and has won 23 of her 30 professional fights, including eight in a row since 2017
‘She thinks I don’t respect the sport, but she gets the biggest payday of her life times ten. All in one paycheck! She’s only known because of me.’
‘The Blonde Bomber’ made quite a name for herself while living in the UK and her weigh-ins have become legendary among boxing fans, with her racy lingerie even making promoter Eddie Hearn blush.
Bridges, who also used to be a ring card girl, says she’s bringing new viewers to the sport – and her opponent should show her some respect.
“Here I am giving her her biggest payday and some attention and she thinks I’m bad for the sport – because of the brand I’ve built. She should be happy. All here [in the UK] Roger that.’

Dubbed the Queen of Australian boxing, Queensland-based O’Connell has won 23 of her 30 professional fights, including eight straight since 2017.
Bridges says she respects what ‘Shotgun’ has achieved in the ring, despite all the trash talk.
“I respect her as a fighter – she was a pioneer. But she’s jealous and bitter — and she’s going to find out very soon,” Bridges said.
“She’ll find out what this dirty little stripper can do and how seriously I take the sport.”

Bridges says O’Connell will be in for a shock when the two meet on December 11
“She will experience a shock.”
Bridge’s rise to the top was certainly aided by her move to the UK and the time she spent training at England’s finest boxing studios.
“It’s very different over here [in the UK]. It feels like boxing is one of the main sports. It’s like being a famous rugby league player in Australia,” said Bridges
“Because it’s so popular here, it’s also great for business. People support it. Unlike in Australia.”
“I get noticed here every day. I keep getting stopped for photos. No matter where I am. I don’t mind at all.’
