Awkward moment when a handsome cop is mistaken for the stripper after trying to stop a house party

A police officer was left red-faced when he turned up to shut down a loud party but was mistaken for a stripper.

The officer can be seen standing awkwardly near the door as a line of women gather around him, holding up their cell phones to film him as some shout, “Stripper, stripper.”

The officer smiles sheepishly as he continues talking to the party guests.

“When the police show up to shut down your event but you all think he’s a stripper,” the video’s caption reads.

Commenters found the video hilarious.

“The way he just left at the end because everyone started fumbling around him,” one said.

One of the commenters thinks she knows who he is, which may increase the officer’s blush.

“Omfg wait a minute, I’m asking my husband if this guy worked at his station.” “I swear I’ve seen him before,” the comment reads.

“If he works in Sydney City then he probably is,” the account holder replies with a laughing emoji.

Some expressed sympathy for the officer’s plight.

“Poor guy,” one commented.

However, others were of the opinion that it was not such a trauma.

“The highlight of his career for the guy,” they commented.

New South Wales Police have been contacted for comment.
