Bankstown Hospital sees a woman stumbling in with a gunshot wound

A woman with a gunshot wound staggered to a Sydney hospital after being dropped off in a BMW on Thursday.

NSW Police said they received a report today of a gunshot victim who had arrived at Bankstown Hospital in south-west Sydney.

It’s unclear who was driving the BMW, but the individual drove away from the scene after dropping off the woman, who is believed to be in her 30s.

Footage from the hospital shows the woman being wheeled into an ambulance.

She was then transferred to a special hospital as police surrounded the hospital.

A NSW Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia: “At around 12.50pm on Thursday 12 January 2023, emergency services arrived outside Bankstown Hospital in relation to an incident in which a woman believed to be in her 30s, was taken to hospital with an apparent gunshot wound to the right upper body.

“The woman is being treated for her injuries.

It is believed she was dropped off by a person in a BMW, who then left the scene

“Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command have set up a crime scene outside the hospital and are searching the area for witnesses or surveillance cameras.
