Biggenden ignites: Travel blogger and OnlyFans creator Kristen Olsen, 24, charged with murder

The woman, who has been charged with murder after the bodies of a Queensland father and his young daughter were found in a burned shed, has been identified as a travel blogger, creator of OnlyFans and a self-proclaimed “gypsy”.

Kristen Olsen, 24, was charged Friday with two counts of murder and one count of arson in the deaths of Todd Mooney, 54, and Kirra Mooney, 10.

Queensland Police will claim the travel blogger deliberately started a fire on December 20 that destroyed a large shed on the Mooney family’s property in Biggenden.

The remains of the father and daughter were found in the rubble of the shed and police are now investigating whether they died before or after the intense fire.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary Pettiford confirmed Friday afternoon that Olsen is the only person of interest “at this stage” of the investigation, the Courier Mail reported.

He said while she has no known ties to the Mooney family, she attended school in Biggenden in the North Burnett region of Queensland.

Mr Mooney, who owns a bakery in the town, had planned to marry his long-term partner Bec Hansen at the property the same week he died.

Ms. Hansen had been working in the bakery around 2 p.m. on the day the fire broke out.

Olsen is said to have made the 15-hour drive along the coast from Cairns to the town of Biggenden in December.

On November 24, she told her followers she was “back, bigger and better than ever,” and in a lengthy Facebook post thanked them for their support over the years.

She shared a link to her OnlyFans page, SlipperyGypsy.69, for people who wanted to see “where my feet are taking me and what they are constantly teaching me.”

“These two foothawks took me to the heart of Far North Queensland… a town surrounded by jungle… where I can be myself,” she wrote in the Post.

“For those who don’t know, I stand for the country; our ultimate sustainable life force.

“Over the years, my bare feet have taken me to different places, exploring new ventures and reminding me of the origins of Australia’s vast lands and communities.”

On the homepage of her adults-only subscription site, Olsen writes that she is a “barefoot, small-town gypsy exploring the many pleasures in life.”

The deaths of Mr Mooney and his daughter were initially thought to be a tragic accident, however post mortem results saw detectives treating the incident as a homicide.

Before Olsen’s arrest, investigators appealed to anyone who might have seen a white Holden Barina with a distinctive solar panel on the roof in the area at the time of the fire.

Divers continued to search for clues in Ban Ban Springs on Friday, with Inspector Pettiford revealing some “objects of interest” had been found.

“In every search, we’re looking for something that doesn’t exist naturally (and later we determine if it’s evidence,” he told reporters.

Detectives are still investigating the cause of the fire and a possible motive for deliberately starting the fire (pictured is the burnt down shed on the property).

Inspector Pettiford said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

“As you can see from the damage done, the building burned down completely, which makes our forensic investigation quite difficult,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Biggenden community is gathering around Mrs Hansen, who was “devastated” by the loss of her partner and daughter five days before Christmas.

Ms Olsen is expected to stand before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday and is expected to appear in court in Maryborough on Monday.
