Bill Maher likens bright progressives to the Ku Klux Klan because of their fixation on race, saying true liberals “believe in a color-blind society.”

Bill Maher has once again criticized the bright progressives – this time on the grounds that they are not “color blind” liberals but have a racial fixation comparable to that of the Ku Klux Klan.
The controversial comedian, 67, made the remarks during an appearance at The Joe Rogan Experience over the weekend.
He argued that while liberals like former Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and John F. Kennedy aimed not to see race at all, today’s progressives are extremists obsessed with identity.
‘[Wokes] “I think race is first and foremost what you should see anywhere, anytime, which I find interesting because that used to be the position of the Ku Klux Klan.”
Maher responded to Rogan’s claim that the former HBO star was a ’90s liberal and not a “far left” like the current progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

“They’re like liberals back when they were more reasonable before they went left,” the superstar podcaster told Maher.
Maher agreed with Rogan’s analysis and said he always tries to argue that “liberal” is different from “bright”.
The political commentator has criticized those he believes are liberals on the far left of the spectrum.
“You can cheer for all the nonsense that this brings now, but don’t say that it’s kind of an extension of liberalism.” Because most of the time it’s actually a downfall of liberalism,” Maher explained.
“You can have your views and positions on these things, but don’t try to adopt what I’ve always believed, like, for example, liberals do in a color-blind society.”
“That the goal is to not watch a race at all, for whatever reason.”
Maher is a regular critic of the modern progressive movement and often agrees with conservatives who believe the country’s obsession with political correctness has gone too far.
During his conversation with Rogan, Maher also said President Joe Biden may be “mentally impaired” and his dealings with son Hunter look dodgy.

However, Maher Rogan disagreed that Biden was just as corrupt as former President Donald Trump, whom he called a “criminal” who was “crazy and stupid.”
“We live in a world where ‘perfect’ is not on the menu,” Maher said of the upcoming presidential election. “These are the possibilities…”
Maher’s comments came after speaking to Dr. Phil clashed when the TV psychologist refused to admit Trump was worse than President Joe Biden.
“One of them poses a much greater threat to the Republic than the 45th, wouldn’t you agree?” Maher asked. “C’mon, a threat to the Republic Joe Biden?” NO.
Last month, Maher condemned the blockbuster film Barbie for perpetuating a “zombie lie” that men have more power and influence than women.
The Real Time presenter said the notion of a male-dominated world is wrong and outdated, citing as an example that the Mattel board in the film is made up entirely of men, when in reality it is made up of seven men and five women.
Of a patriarchy, Maher said, “Yes, there was, and there are remnants of it left — but this movie is so late in 2000.”
The comedian has plenty of time given the writers’ strike that caused his HBO show Real Time to take an unplanned hiatus throughout May and June before filming halted in July.
He has not returned to the studio yet as the strike continues.
