Brighton have agreed a four-year deal with summer free agent Mahmoud Dahoud

Brighton agree a four-year deal with free agent Mahmoud Dahoud after the midfielder left Borussia Dortmund – while the clubs prepare to make offers for Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister
Brighton, who have been soliciting offers for Moises Caicedo in recent days, have agreed a four-year deal with free agent Mahmoud Dahoud, 27, after the German midfielder left Borussia Dortmund.
Three clubs are eyeing Caicedo, valued at around £80m, while Liverpool are looking to finalize a deal for Alexis Mac Allister.
Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls are attracting plenty of interest ahead of the summer window after an exceptional Premier League campaign this season as they finished sixth in the table last week and secured a Europa League spot.
With a handful of key first-team stars struggling to leave the club this summer, Brighton are targeting several new arrivals and have also discussed a potential deal for Livingston goalkeeper Brian Schwake.
The 21-year-old was in training at Brighton last week and is out of contract this summer. He would cost a minimum compensation fee of around £250,000.

Dahoud has now made over 140 appearances for Dortmund, despite playing just 10 games this season after dislocating his shoulder last year.
The Syrian-born star moved to Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2017. The deal was agreed when Thomas Tuchel was still managing the German giants.
Dahoud made his breakthrough in the German team in 2021, winning his first two caps against Turkey and the Czech Republic.
The Seagulls have already lured Watford forward Joao Pedro to Amex this summer and are close to signing Liverpool veteran James Milner on a free transfer.
