Bunnings shoppers have received free gift cards, sweet treats and merchandise after finding golden bones hidden around the store.

The golden bones were hidden among the DIY giant’s merchandise to celebrate the launch of its massive pet range.

“I was checking out Bunnings’ new pet range today, spotted this ‘Golden Bone’, had no idea what it was but picked it up and read the label,” said one customer.

Adding: “Went to the service desk and got a $10 gift card and a Freddo! Not a bad score!’

While another woman couldn’t believe her luck when she won a $20 coupon, a dog jacket, and a ball for her pooch after bringing him to the store for a pet supplies launch.

“Lucky” bones were found in stores everywhere – each Bunnings was able to market the supplies in their own unique way

Another said they were given some hi-vis wipes and portable bowls after taking their dogs to the store.

A woman also posted a picture of her cats exploring the store.

“My son called Bunnings and was given two bandanas, two collapsible water bowls and a small bag with some treats, a squeaky toy and two free coffee coupons,” added another.

“There with some puppies awaiting adoption, it was fantastic that puppies found their new families,” said one delighted customer.

Matt Tyler, Bunnings general manager of operations, said each store was given the opportunity to host pet fun events over the weekend to showcase the new products.

“Our team is always looking for ways to offer our customers the best experience and we regularly host a variety of free DIY workshops, children’s activities and in-store events organized and run by each in-store team locally.”
