Cam Norrie opened his Australian Open campaign beautifully as he sauntered to first-round victory in Melbourne.
The 27-year-old advanced to the second round with a 7-6, 6-0, 6-3 win over French teenager Luca Van Assche.
Norrie fell in his first game at the tournament last year and is hoping to reach the third round, which will be his personal best at the Australian Open.

It continues an impressive start to the year after reaching the final of the Auckland Open with a loss to Frenchman Richard Gasquet.
Norrie successfully avoided a fourth opening-round elimination in five years at the Australian Open.
He has put in a strong performance in recent Majors, having reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last year before losing in the fourth round at the US Open.
Norrie will take to the court next on Wednesday as he seeks to reach the third round of the Australian Open for the second time in his career.
It was a promising start for the British hopefuls after Emma Radacanu also opened her campaign in good style with a win over Tamara Korpatsch and set up a thrilling second round duel with Coco Gauff.
