  • Ms Sainsbury married her computer engineer partner Tatiana in Colombia
  • Photos shared as she lifts the lid on the role she played in international drug operations

“Cocaine” Cassie Sainsbury has shared photos from her beach wedding with her Colombian partner as she prepares to reveal all about her past as a drug mule.

The convicted drug smuggler pulled back the curtains on the intimate ceremony in an exclusive reveal with 7NEWS Spotlight, which aired at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Sainsbury will also detail her role in an international drug operation before she was caught with 5.8kg of cocaine at the Bogota, Colombia airport in April 2017.

Sainsbury told the current affairs program she was part of the drug ring when she was still living in Australia – and believed she was delivering packages.

“(The dealer) told me that the job was basically taking envelopes with documents down town (Sydney) to his customers,” Sainsbury said.

“In a week it could have been two or three times, or it could have taken it to the next extreme and it could have been up to 10, 15 times.”

The former personal trainer met her computer technician, Tatiana, shortly after her release from El Buen Pastor prison in 2020, before they wed in March this year.

The couple tied the knot on a beach in Colombia, with images of the elegant ceremony emerging for the first time.

Ms Sainsbury shone in an elegant wedding dress while her partner opted for a smart looking and polished suit with a pink bow tie.

Heartwarming photos show the loving couple toasting during the ceremony and looking into each other’s eyes with delight.

Sainsbury said her whirlwind romance with Tatiana, which began in the middle of last year, was completely unexpected.

“We had shared a group of friends and one night we went out for a birthday and literally hit it off,” she said.

The couple quickly took their relationship to the next level when Tatiana got down on one knee during a romantic dinner on the beach in Cartagena, Colombia in November.

At the time, Sainsbury showed off her sparkling engagement ring on social media and wrote about how nervous she was trying to choose a wedding dress.

‘She put a ring on it!’ Sainsbury said about the engagement.

“She had been planning for a while to find a ring that she thought would be perfect for me and she ended up finding it.”

Sainsbury took to Instagram in March 2022 and posted a selfie with the hashtag #justmarried added.

In July last year, Sainsbury told Daily Mail Australia her new lover was unaware of her past and why she was making headlines in Australia, but that has since changed.

“I shared everything with her about everything,” she said.

‘Basically [Tatiana] said she wouldn’t judge me based on my past, she was really mature about the whole situation.
