Charlamagne Tha God and co-host Raashaun Casey, known as DJ Envy, claim U.S. President Joe Biden ‘should be tested for dementia’ and that he ‘talked to a ghost’ ahead of 2024 election bid.
The radio hosts of ‘The Breakfast Club’ said Biden seemed to be suffering from the degenerative disease which impacts brain functioning and questioned whether American’s oldest president to date should run again in 2024.
Biden earlier this month said he was ‘all in’ for another shot at the White House but would be 86 by the end of the second term if he won. He’s yet to announce the 2024 bid officially.
Charlamagne suggested the 80-year-old politician stalwart should hold off but former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross and liberal ex-CNN commentator Angela Rye, both defended him asking the pair for better alternatives.

‘Don’t you think its ambitious of Biden to be announcing his future plans?’ asks Charlamagne.
‘I was going to ask you, do you think he should be tested before he’s able to announce that he should be able to run?’ DJ Envy adds.
‘Tested? What do you mean tested?’ asks Cross. ‘Dementia,’ DJ Envy replies.
‘Have you seen something that suggests that he has dementia?’ Cross asked the hosts of The Breakfast Club.
‘I [saw] him talking to a ghost,’ Charlamagne said, in an apparent reference to when Biden seemingly forgot about the death of Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski, R., at an event in Sept last year.
‘This is silly. This is silly. This is silly,’ Rye repeated three times to shut down the conversation.
‘Can y’all be honest?’ Charlamagne asked, speaking to his guests. ‘Y’all don’t want Biden to run again.’
Cross (center) then posed whether they would prefer Biden with dementia over former U.S. president Donald Trump, to which Charlamagne replied that they’re ‘two wings on the same bird’
Criticism of Biden’s age and mental faculties like that heard on ‘The Breakfast Club’ has dogged him throughout his presidency, but he has said he feels fit for office and intends to run
‘[Biden] was talking to a ghost, he forgets a lot, there’s times where he looks confused, doesn’t know where he’s walking,’ Casey said.
‘To me, it looks like he has early signs of dementia,’ he later added.
DJ Envy didn’t stop there, asking the guests who was in charge in the White House.
‘If [Biden] doesn’t understand what’s going on and he’s asking so many questions, who’s running this country?’ he asked.
‘Do we want him being the face of America?’ DJ Envy later asked the guests.

Walorski, 58, and her staffers, communications director Emma Thomson, 28, and district director Zachary Potts, 27, were all killed in an Aug 3 crash last year
Charlamagne said that while he didn’t know for sure about Biden having dementia, he ‘could not look black people in the eyes, again, in 2024 and say that [Biden] is the person that you should vote for.’
‘Should Joe Biden run again as President?’ DJ Envy asked listeners. One guest said that she didn’t want Biden ‘to run again.’
‘I want someone younger [as president],’ the caller said. ‘No way!’ said another caller.

In September last year, Biden forgot about the death of Indiana Rep. Jackie Walorski while at an event and was seen repeatedly searching the crowd for her and calling her name while on stage.
The mistake came during an appearance at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in Washington.
U.S. president Joe Biden has reportedly said he is ‘all in’ for a second run of the White House with an official statement expected in early Feb
Biden who previously served as vice president under Barack Obama, took office following his victory in the 2020 election over Republican president Donald Trump
Walorski was one of four lawmakers who sponsored legislation pushing for the conference, but she was killed in a tragic car accident along with two of her staffers in early August that same year.
The president attempted to give her a shoutout along with others during his address.
‘I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative … Jackie, Jackie are you here?’ Biden said.
‘I think she was going to be here,’ he says with a pause finishing with ‘to help make this a reality.’
While a tribute to Walorski was scheduled to play at the event, it was not presented while Biden or the White House pool were there.
Walorski, 58, and her staffers, communications director Emma Thomson, 28, and district director Zachary Potts, 27, were all killed in an Aug 3 crash. Police would later confirm that Potts, the driver, had somehow turned into oncoming traffic.
Biden, who is expected to run for a second term after winning following his campaign in 2020, (pictured) hit his highest approval rating in more than a year at 43.3 percent in new polling earlier this month
Upon his inauguration Biden, 80, became the oldest president in American history and if inaugurated a second time would be 86 by the end of his potential second term
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office initially believed that a passenger car had entered Walorski’s lane and crashed head-on. Further investigation found that it was in fact Walorski’s vehicle that entered the wrong lane.
Biden, who turned 80 in November, is the oldest president in American history.
He previously served as vice president under Barack Obama and took office following his victory in the 2020 election over Republican president Donald Trump.
Biden and senior aides are preparing to make the announcement for release in February – around the time of the State of the Union address to Congress, multiple sources told The Hill.
‘I think it’s all about timing at this point,’ one Biden ally told The Hill on Saturday.
‘It seems like he’s all in. It’s not really ‘if’ he runs anymore.’
Biden was seen speaking to Bill and Connie Neville, the Democratic donor couple whose St Croix villa he stayed in for a low-profile seven days with members of his family
The president and his family are said to have decided his re-election bid during their Christmas trip to St. Croix, where they stayed in the ritzy tropical island home of wealthy business owners Bill and Connie Neville.
Following the trip, the 80-year-old didn’t take questions from reporters as he boarded Air Force One with first lady Jill, 18-year-old grandaughter Natalie and 16-year-old grandson Hunter after a low-key week spent mostly in the luxury three-bedroom property with a private beach.
As he approached the plane’s steps he stopped to speak to the Nevilles to mark the end of the trip where rare public sightings included a round of golf with grandson Hunter, dinner at a local restaurant and a church service.
Biden’s return to Washington was met with new challenges ahead of him – with the Republicans taking control of the House of Representatives.
House Republicans threatened a litany of investigations, including into Biden’s son Hunter’s foreign business dealings.
Thanks to better than expected midterm results for the Democrats, the GOP will have just a small House majority, while Democrats maintain control of the Senate, even flipping a formerly held Republican seat in Pennsylvania.
Biden’s approval rating hit its highest in more than a year earlier this month, coming in at 43.3 percent in new polling. He did not break 43 percent in 2022 and hit his lowest point in July around 37 percent.

But, experts say, his current approval rating shouldn’t factor into his decision to run again this far out.
The plans have been kept under wraps however, while they waited for House Republicans to conclude their battle over their new Speaker of the House, one Democratic lawmaker said.
The date of the State of the Union speech is traditionally set by the House of Representatives – a task that will now fall to newly installed Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
McCarthy’s opening speech sparked uproar when he was finally sworn in as Speaker of the House following four days of chaos and a near-punch up on the House floor.
‘That was easy, huh?’ McCarthy began in his victory speech – shortly after U.S. Republican Mike Rogers had to be held back from attacking Rep. Matt Gaetz.
