‘C’est ça que j’adore! My new campaign by Jean Baptiste Mondino featuring the iconic necklace designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the new J’adore parfum d’eau: an innovative, highly concentrated, alcohol-free eau de parfum,” she said.

‘C’est ça que j’adore’ means ‘This is what I love.’

She previously said that she associates scents with “nostalgia”.

The star, who has adopted daughters Jackson, ten, and August, seven, explained that while wearing perfume is the “smallest act” of indulgence, it makes a “big impact” on others and “cherishes moments” with theirs children can create .

She said: “What I like most about fragrance is that it’s the smallest act you can do for yourself, but it has a huge impact. I feel like scent is definitely a mood lifter – it’s just so easy and I definitely take full advantage of it.

“For me, it’s also associated with so much nostalgia, when my children say, for example: ‘That smells like you, mum’. Smell is so connected to those very, very precious moments, so I have a deep love for it. ‘

The ‘Monster’ star went on to claim that smells in general are something people don’t care about as much as they should and while she doesn’t have a perfume ritual she always keeps a bottle handy at home.

She told British Vogue: “I think maybe it’s one of those things that we don’t appreciate as much as we should. I don’t have a scent ritual, but I always have scent in my room or bathroom. I walk past a bottle and I’m like, “Oh, let me just spray some of that.”

Meanwhile, the Oscar-winner added that she’s no longer worried about wearing a “tonne of powder” on her face as she ages, and allowing her to “look natural” in the film has her approach to her look on changed the red carpet.

She said: “I think the older I’ve gotten the more I don’t want to mattify your face and wear a ton of powder. I think making actors look natural is something that’s so celebrated in film that I kind of carried that into mine [approach to the] Red carpet and even editorials that I shoot – don’t want to look like that [I have] a dull face. I think a lot of us are so hypersensitive because we don’t want to look like sweaty pigs! [But] I don’t think it’s very flattering on women, especially as we get older. So you don’t have to use powder.’
