To get the best bang for your buck, the CHOICE experts chose Aldi’s Confidence Extra Soft 3-ply toilet paper with an overall score of 82 percent and fourth place.

At 22 cents per 100 sheets, it wasn’t the cheapest of the products tested, but it was recommended ahead of cheaper papers as it performed well on the puncture test, which measured how likely your finger is to break sheets.

Third place went to Coles So Soft and Strong 3-ply Embossed White, which also costs 22 cents per 100 sheets, but was not recommended by CHOICE experts because of its poor puncture test score.
