A man was spotted climbing the UK’s tallest building, The Shard, in London this morning.
The renegade climber was spotted around 6 a.m. climbing the massive 1,016-foot skyscraper.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.48am this morning following reports of a climber on The Shard.
The Metropolitan Police, London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service all rushed to the scene to bring the person down.
The area around The Shard’s base has been cordoned off and rail passengers at nearby London Bridge station have been diverted to other exits.
Police said three arrests had been made. This includes the arrest of a 21-year-old man on suspicion of trespassing.
Two other men were arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
It’s not the first time people have attempted to scale the massive building.
In 2019, then-teen George King-Thompson broke the law by climbing the building.
He scaled the skyscraper with his bear hands and almost reached the top of the building in just 45 minutes.
Mr King-Thompson was sentenced to six months in a juvenile detention center.
