Coco Gauff’s US Open semi-final match is stopped by environmental protesters as she fights for a place in the final against Karolina Muchova in Flushing

Protesters stopped Coco Gauff’s US Open semifinal match against Karolina Muchova.

Since the American led 6:4 and 1:0, the demonstrators interrupted the delicate duel.

The ESPN broadcast interrupted the event as two men and a woman spoke out against the use of fossil fuels.

The triumvirate could be heard shouting “Stop fossil fuels” so loudly that it disrupted the game.

The game was stopped for more than 15 minutes. Of course, many around the nosebleed trio were upset.

Shouts of “get her out” could be heard while one of the men still refused to be taken away. The other two were removed from the stadium at this time.

Although ESPN provided a vague description, they admitted it was an “environmental protest.”
