Comedian Jim Davidson is “gutted” after splitting from his fifth wife

Comedian Jim Davidson has reportedly split from fifth wife Michelle Cotton after 14 years of marriage.

The Celebrity Big Brother winner, 69, is said to have revealed on stage during his Not Yet Canceled tour on Friday night that he is currently in “divorce number 5”.

Jim, who hosted The Generation Game and snooker show Big Break, has previously claimed his four previous divorces have cost him £60million.

A source told The Sun: “Jim is really sad and disappointed that he and Michelle haven’t been able to make things work.

“He’s not too keen on the idea of ​​a public divorce again. He has come to terms with the reality that nothing can be done.’

Discussing Piers Morgan’s life stories in 2018, Jim said of Michelle – whom he married in 2009: “She’s a very nice person.

“She’s impatient, she’s fiery like me. I hope to be with Michelle for the rest of my life, there is no one better I want to spend the rest of my life with. Liz Hurley maybe?”

Jim had a tumultuous love life.

He was 17 when he married childhood sweetheart Sue Walpole in 1971 after she became pregnant with their daughter. They divorced the following year.

The couple share daughter Sarah Walpole-Davidson, now 50, together.

He married Julie Gullick, the mother of his second child, in 1981. They divorced in 1986. They have a son together, Cameron, now 40 years old.

Davidson has said that during that marriage he paid for an orgy with 12 call girls at a London hotel as part of a celebrity bachelorette party.

His marriage to TV presenter Alison Holloway in 1987 ended after two years amid allegations of domestic violence.

Joanne Urch later claimed she had an affair with Davidson when she was 16 and he was still married to Miss Holloway.

He had three children with former Page Three girl Tracy Hilton, whom he married in 1990 and divorced in 2000.

Speaking to Piers in 2018, he said he “absolutely” believes the woman is always to blame for his failed relationships – and admitted the divorces have cost him dearly.

“I’ve spent so much money over the years. Getting to 50, 60 million must have gone through my hands,” Davidson said.

When asked how he felt about it, he told Morgan, “Brilliant. Thank god I had it. When I won New Faces [in 1976] I said, ‘Mom, you never have to work again as long as you live,’ and she never did.”
