The insider went on to explain that Andy has been the “biggest influence” on Kevin’s career.

Kevin has previously spoken out about his beloved father while appearing on The Graham Norton Show in 2015.

Graham mentioned that he understood how important Kevin’s father was to his career.

“My dad used to drive me to the gigs because I was too young to play the clubs, so they did [let me] as long as I brought a parent, which was pretty uncool,” he told the TV host.

“Having to bring a note and say it’s okay to go on stage at those comedy clubs.

“He drove me all over Scotland.”

From the beginning of his career, Graham added that Kevin thanked his parents for their support over the years and once bought them a ticket on the Orient Express.

“My dad always had a love for trains,” he explained. “He always wanted to ride the Orient Express. So I gave them the trip for their anniversary a few years ago.

“And my dad is the only guy who’s ever missed the train.

‘He got off at Innsbrook station and sent me a long text before the train left.

‘He says: “Son, we ate and ate, I looked at the Tyrolean mountains” … and I look at this text and think “ah, he really had a good time”.

“Then he just goes ‘S***!’. Then it was just: “The train just left, Kevin. Call me son.”
