Coolio receives gravestone months after his sudden death as girlfriend Mimi calls it “worth every penny”.
Three months after his sudden death at the age of 59, Coolio received a headstone that his family bought.
The stone was designed by noted monumental mason Cemetery Tim, who provided markers for Nate Dogg and Eazy E.
He took to Instagram this week to share the finished product, and the rapper’s longtime girlfriend Mimi Ivey commented that it was “worth every penny.”

She also appeared with Tim in the photo, which showed the two crouching in front of the shiny plaque.
Tim’s caption read: “It has been a true honor to work on behalf of Coolio to create this unique memorial honoring Coolio’s life. Thank you MiMi @mimi513 for giving me the opportunity to work with you.”
He added: “All Love” and added a praying hands emoji, as Mimi replied: “Thank you. I am over the moon and grateful for all the hard work that went into creating this gemstone.
TMZ reported that although the entertainer was cremated, his family “wanted a physical place to remember him.”
Loved ones: The rapper’s longtime girlfriend, Mimi Ivey, commented that the stone was “worth every penny”.
The stone contained Coolio’s birth and death dates, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and three pictures of the entertainer.
It read: “Artis Leon Ivey Jr. Grandfather, Father, Brother, Uncle, Son and Soulmate. I’m home in Gangsta’s Paradise now.’
It was recently revealed that Coolio had no will at the time of his death and his adult children will share the estate of over $300,000.
According to a report by The Blast, which reviewed documents in the case, the Gangsta’s Paradise performer died without a will, suggesting he had no will.
The outlet noted that the Fantastic Voyage rapper’s seven adult children were listed as next of kin and likely beneficiaries in an estate filed by his former manager.

According to the legal documents, Coolio’s estate, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., contained “personal property and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies and royalties.”
The exact value of the estate has not yet been determined.
It was previously reported by TMZ in October that Coolio was cremated and plans were to encase his ashes in jewelry for his children and other loved ones.
The ashes are kept in pendants and each of his children can arrange personalized inscriptions.
After the necklaces are sent to Coolio’s loved ones, the rest of the ashes are kept in an urn.

Coolio was discovered on a friend’s bathroom floor on September 28 and then pronounced dead from suspected cardiac arrest.
Mimi, who has been with him since 2012, exclusively told DailyMail.com how she reacted when she was told the news.
“I just remember all the air and life coming out of my body,” she recalled. “I was outside preparing to take my son to soccer practice. All I remember is falling to my knees. I broke down.’
She revealed that according to Coolio’s own instructions, he would not have a full funeral and would be cremated.

The cremation guest list was so tightly limited that it even froze some friends who had known him for decades.
A source close to Coolio told DailyMail.com the measure was taken to prevent a possible dispute between his children’s mothers.
Mimi, an exotic dancer and chef, revealed she knew Coolio was dating other women and that they made arrangements as a couple.
“We were best friends,” she said. “We talked about everything and joked and laughed about everything. It was never boring to be with him.’
