Could there have been MORE dead children conceived in the House of Horrors? Locals say one of the ‘incest father’s’ daughters also gave birth to twins who mysteriously disappeared

Locals in a Polish village where a father and daughter have been charged with incest and the murder of three babies fear there could be more victims.

Piotr Gierasik, 54, and Paulina Gierasik, 20, were arrested and face life imprisonment after the decomposing remains of three babies were found in the basement of the family home in the village of Czerniki in northern Poland last week.

Police discovered the dingy basement where Piotr Gierasik allegedly threw his own daughter’s newborn babies to die, wrapped them in plastic and buried them in shallow graves as they secretly continued their four-year relationship.

Authorities also discovered that one of the bodies belonged to another of Piotr’s four daughters.

Locals now fear there could be more dead babies from another daughter who was allegedly raped by her father.

A woman described by local media as being “close to the family” recounted fact Newspaper: “One of the daughters once gave birth to twins, the circumstances of this case are unclear, the children have disappeared.”

Speaking to Fakt, the woman added: “About two to three years ago, one of Piotr’s daughters was pregnant with twins. Now let’s start remembering everything.

“He allegedly took the girl to another province, to Toruń, to give birth [90 miles away] or Ciechocinek [100 miles].

“He assured the social workers that everything was fine and they believed him, but now no one knows what happened to these children.”

“Why did he bring her this far? Why not to Gdansk? [35 miles].

Police had visited the property after receiving a worrying tip from social services, but while searching the property for evidence they discovered a foul stench coming from a cellar inside the house.

Two of the babies had been stuffed into plastic bags and buried in a shallow grave in the soft ground beneath the house.

A third – probably another daughter of Piotr – was simply left to rot.

According to the prosecutor, there is “no doubt that the children were murdered.”

Joanna Mikołajska, head of the social assistance center in Stara Kiszewa, said: “We as social services cannot enter houses by force.”

“We need a concrete report in order to have a basis for action.” We always appeal to these reports. You can be anonymous.

“Now we have received such a signal and our action was instantaneous, but on a human level we analyze everything.” We wonder whether we did everything right, whether we could have done more.

“On a human level, we are shocked.” “None of us expected that we would have to deal with such a tragedy.”

According to local mayor Marian Pick, when social workers arrived at the house, Paulina was lying on the bed fully clothed and said she felt bad and her stomach hurt.

The mayor said that after hearing concerns that “something bad” might have happened, the social worker arrived the following afternoon, having previously been sent to investigate reports about the family.

He added that the previous suspicions had been rejected by a court.

Pick told the newspaper Fakt: “The social worker went there in the afternoon and met Paulina and her disabled brother.”

“Initially, her father was listening to the conversation, but our employee asked him to leave her alone, he must have lost his guard because he agreed.”

“Paulina was lying on the bed fully clothed, she said she lay down because she wasn’t feeling well and her stomach hurt a bit.

“A few days later the police came to Czerniki, took Paulina to the hospital, the doctor confirmed that she was pregnant, but there was no baby.

“Then the police took the girl into custody and she said that the body was buried in the basement, but added that two more bodies, i.e. three babies, were buried in the basement.

“We are all shocked, this father can only be described as a degenerate, nothing else.”
