Couple discovers the highly ‘X-rated’ story behind their family’s quaint and ‘spooky’ holiday home

  • A couple was shocked to learn their vacation home used to be the scene of orgies
  • The man who rented the house was previously unaware of his tumultuous history
  • It was bought by a gay couple in the 1970s and converted into a party and orgy venue
  • The quaint French country cottage is available to rent on AirBnb

A couple have been shocked to discover the ‘carnal’ origins of a surprising decor at their quaint French vacation home.

Antoine from Paris was recently on a Christmas holiday with his boyfriend and family and they rented a large villa in the French countryside – only to find out that the house was a popular place for parties and orgies in the 1970s.

“As we walked in, we noticed that most of the ceilings were mirror smooth and that the house looked pretty tacky,” he shared in a Facebook post.

“The new owner told us his story and it’s quite strange: a couple of gay Parisian men won the lottery in the 70’s and built this house to organize big parties and orgies.”

He added: “It was apparently a very famous place at the time.”

But the mirrored ceilings weren’t the only features that made Antoine’s family pause.

“Apart from the ugly ceiling, the house was very strange. Huge with small windows, tiles on the outer walls and strange roofs…”

Antoine shared several photos of the home, whose window-to-concrete ratio might seem awkward to even a novice architecture enthusiast.

The exterior of the house was also clad in white ceramic tiles one might find in bathrooms and the cracks filled with discolored grout.

But the man assured his commenters that despite the rowdy storyline, his family enjoyed their time at the house and made wonderful memories.

“To add a few details just in case – I’m gay myself and my boyfriend stayed with us,” he wrote. “And although my family is very old and traditional, they’re very open-minded and have a great sense of humor, so we loved the origin story.”

‘We have great memories of this Christmas and we all made great puns and jokes about the history and the house during the stay.’

Hundreds of commentators were greatly amused by the turbulent history of the house.

“Think of all the great times you had before you got there!” wrote one woman. ‘Very, very funny.’

“I can only guess how many adult films have been filmed there.”

“Surely the small windows are such that no one can see in during their orgies.”
