Crash on the Sydney Harbor Bridge: Huge accident involving multiple vehicles causes traffic chaos

  • Several cars collided on the Sydney Harbor Bridge
  • Motorists were asked to use the harbor tunnel instead

Several cars have collided on the Sydney Harbor Bridge during rush hour, causing chaos for commuters.

Motorists have been told to use the harbor tunnel instead of the bridge and to expect delays after a two-vehicle crash closed city-bound lanes.

A commuter who passed the scene said it appeared three lanes of traffic were blocked by the wreckage and approaching fire engines.

Shortly before 8 a.m. they saw a man talking to police officers.

Footage from the crime scene shows a black hatchback being attached to a tow truck.

There are no reports of injuries.

The Cahill Expressway remains open.

There’s more to come.
