Ronaldo was playing in the friendly – which was part of the state-sponsored Saudi festival called Riyadh Seasons – when the keeper incident happened.
The Saudi All-Star XI were 1-0 down when Ronaldo rose over his defender to head the ball on target. However, Navas stormed out to hit it clear, accidentally hitting the striker in the cheek.

Ronaldo hit the ground and grabbed his face in pain. His team-mates automatically requested a penalty and their request was granted after the referee consulted the pitchside monitor.
Luckily, Ronaldo was able to continue and took penalties in the 33rd minute of the game. However, the former Manchester United striker had some serious bruises on his cheekbone.
Ronaldo added another goal to his tally just before half-time. But it wasn’t enough to win the game as PSG won 5-4 with goals from Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Marquinhos, Sergio Ramos and Huge Ekitike.
PSG still felt they were tough on the penalty kick. At the start of the second half, Kylian Mbappe groaned in front of the referee. Ronaldo reacted quickly and walked over to show the 24-year-old his bruises.

Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in a record-breaking deal worth £173m-a-year following his acrimonious departure from Manchester United, was named man of the match for his impressive performance.
He received the award for his two goals and his grandiose nutmeg on Carlos Soler. In the 11th minute, the Portuguese grabbed the ball on the halfway line and deftly nutmed Soler, leading to a roar from the Saudi supporters.
He also tackled his arch-rival Messi several times. The fans savored those moments as well as the two goals he scored in the first half at Riyadh’s King Fahd Stadium.
However, Messi will have viewed the game as part of his victory lap after his World Cup triumph in Qatar. The trip will also have earned him credits as an ambassador for Saudi’s tourism campaign.
The game meant as much to Ronaldo as it came five weeks after his World Cup ended in tears as a marginalized substitute with Portugal and nine after his Manchester United career was ended for draining his spleen at Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo previously defended his decision to join Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr. He said: “I’m so proud to be making this big decision in my life. In Europe my work is done. I won everything and now this is a new challenge.
“I am grateful that Al Nassr gave me this opportunity, not only for football but also for the young generation and the female generation. It’s a challenge for me, but I’m very happy and very proud.
“I had many opportunities in Europe, in Brazil, in Australia, in the USA and even in Portugal, many clubs tried to sign me, but I gave my word to this club. This is a good opportunity to grow here with my knowledge and experience in many important areas.
“I’m a unique player. I beat all records in Europe. I want to beat some records here. This contract is unique, but I’m a unique player, so it’s normal for me. I really don’t care what people say. I’m really happy to be here.
“I know the league is very competitive, I’ve seen a lot of games. I hope to play after (Wednesday) when the coach thinks there’s a chance. I’m ready to keep playing football.”
