Crystal Palace have upped their offer at Peterborough for defender Ronnie Edwards
Edwards was one of just two players in the triumphant Three Lions team not yet registered with Premier League clubs.
Despite his lack of top-flight experience, he nevertheless started four of England’s five games at the tournament.
Palace have admired Edwards for some time and the talented centre-back has also been pursued by Tottenham in the past.
Patrick Vieira sees Edwards as a bright prospect for the future and wants him at Selhurst Park
