Damar Hamlin is honored by ALL 32 NFL teams as league unveils moment of pregame endorsement

Damar Hamlin will be honored by ALL 32 NFL teams this weekend when the league unveils a pregame moment of support, warm-up t-shirts and the option to have the No. 3 in the 30-yard field line number in Bill’s blue or red to draw

The NFL announced Friday that every team in the league this weekend will honor Bill’s safety Damar Hamlin, who is awake and without a breathing tube after suffering cardiac arrest on Monday against the Bengals.

The football community has been widely supportive of Hamlin, including Robert Kraft, Tom Brady and Matthew Stafford who donated to his GoFundMe, and now the NFL has released a list of official options for teams to recognize the 24-year-old.

Activations include a pregame moment of support, painting his No. 3 on every 30-yard line, and wearing black t-shirts that read “Love for Damar 3.”

The league has distributed a standardized public address announcement for teams to read before the national anthem.

It read: “Throughout this week the entire NFL family has prayed for the Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin as he continues his recovery and we thank the first responders and medical professionals involved in his care.

‘The [CLUB NAME] ask you to join us in a moment of support and love for Damar and cheer for him and his family as they continue their fight.’

The league also provided more details on the field painting tribute, saying the #3 must appear in either “Buffalo Bills Red or Buffalo Bills Blue.”

And while non-Bills players can wear the black tees honoring Hamlin, Buffalo players wear a similar jersey in the team’s blue.

Hats embroidered with a “3” will also be provided for team personnel to wear during auditions, while the “3” jersey patches will be worn by the Bills in Week 18.

On Friday, Hamlin bent down for Bill’s teammates and told them he loves them in a surprise FaceTime call from his Cincinnati hospital bed.

“They didn’t know we were going to do this [the call]’ Bills coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Friday’s conference call.

“When I said we had a ‘treat’ in store, you could see the look in her eyes in anticipation of what was likely to come,” McDermott continued.

“And then to get the zoom and when it came on screen… to see the player’s reaction they immediately stood up and clapped for him and yelled some things at him and it was a pretty cool exchange for a couple seconds there.”

Hamlin, pictured on “the big screen,” made a “heart” symbol with his hands, offered a “thumbs up” sign and even bowed for teammates. McDermott said, ‘It makes me laugh … He leaned over to you.’
