Damar Hamlin’s Buffalo Bills jersey becomes one of the best-selling in ANY SPORT after suffering cardiac arrest

Following the horrific incident against the Cincinnati Bengals, in which Buffalo Bill’s safety Damar Hamlin suffered an on-field cardiac arrest, Hamlin’s jersey has become one of the best selling jerseys of any sport on Fanatics.com.
Fanatics announced that all proceeds from Hamlin’s jersey sales will be donated to his toy drive charity, which has now surpassed a staggering $5.5 million in donations.
Hamlin remained in critical condition under sedation in hospital, but his uncle, Dorrian Glenn, told reporters the 24-year-old’s condition was heading in the right direction.
Fanatics Co-Chair Michael Rubin wrote on Twitter Tuesday night: “The fans are showing an incredible amount of love and support for Damar Hamlin by buying his shirt. Fanatics, along with the NFL, donate all proceeds from his jersey sales to the Chasing M’s Foundation. Get well soon, Damar.’

Hamlin launched its toy drive back in December 2020 to buy toys for underprivileged children ahead of the holiday season.
An hour after Hamlin was injured, it had received donations totaling over $1 million. 24 hours later, the toy campaign has amassed a staggering sum of over $5.5 million.
NFL stars, politicians, athletes from other sports and many more have donated large sums of money to the Hamlin Support Toy Drive.
Hamlin’s cardiac arrest happened midway through the first quarter of pay when he tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins and fell to the ground, motionless, seconds after getting up.

He was surrounded by a wall of players from both teams while medics attended to him for 16 minutes before he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
ESPN-TV coverage initially went through four commercial breaks before coverage returned to the studio.
While they were being tended, medics administered CPR and had to get Hamlin’s heart back into rhythm, but he still couldn’t breathe on his own.
After reports that the game would resume after a five-minute warm-up, both coaches directed their teams into the dressing room before the game was suspended until further notice.
“They sedated him just to give him a better chance to just keep healing better. We just take it day by day. Seems like it’s trending positively up,” Glenn explained.
“Right now they have him on a ventilator. They’re trying to get him to breathe on his own. He is still in intensive care and is being sedated while medical treatment continues. I am grateful for the staff who worked with him.’

Glenn added that Hamlin has some lung damage hence the use of a ventilator.
“It was really scary to see what we saw yesterday. It was a gut punch to see that,” Glenn told NFL.com. “But I’m grateful he’s still here and still fighting.”
“It was heartbreaking. I’ve been up for 24 hours. It feels good to support my nephew and be by his side. It’s great to see the love and support that is out there for him. It’s really amazing.
“It’s still very busy day by day. As soon as he gets out of intensive care, I’ll feel better. My nephew is humble. He will be overwhelmed by love. He’s a real, positive guy from the toy ride to his coaching clinic,” Glenn said.
