David Beckham appears brooding and tense as he oversees megastar Lionel Messi as he helps his team Inter Miami defeat LAFC in front of a VERY glittering crowd

In July, he welcomed Lionel Messi as a new addition to his squad.

And Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham proved on Sunday he was pumping up the dividends paid as he watched soccer legend Inter Miami defeat LAFC.

Before the game, the 48-year-old Brit was spotted in a shirt, tie and dress trousers as he left a Manhattan Beach hotel alongside Messi ahead of the high-risk game in the 30th round of Major League Soccer.

After recently revealing a buzzcut, David added an edgy touch to the ensemble with his new hairdo as he greeted a female cohort before heading to the game, which Inter Miami won in an incredible 3-1 final score.

During the game, David looked understandably tense as he watched the team he co-owns with Jorge Mas, frowning at the sideways look.

“Please forgive me for feeling a bit emotional tonight.” It is truly a dream come true to welcome Lionel Messi to Inter Miami. Leo, we are so proud that you have chosen this club for the next phase of your career. Welcome to the family.

“We are also so proud to have the unique Sergio Busquets. One of the most complete midfielders of his generation.”

Messi, meanwhile, said: “Thank you very much.” First of all, I would like to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome and this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love you have shown me. It happened so fast…
