DC Comics fans are disgusted by a bizarre new Batman story starring the Joker become pregnant and give birth to “brown goo”, which turns into a baby.

In the latest installment in the series, The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing, Batman’s nemesis becomes pregnant after being cursed.

The Joker later vomits “some kind of brown mucus” that turns into a little boy, who ends up being a mini version of the Joker. The issue also features another twisted scene in which the supervillain Atomic Skull performs a pelvic exam on Joker.

“The world holds its breath once again as The Joker strikes again! But how far is he willing to go this time?” wrote DC Comics on their website to cheer the issue. But many were less than thrilled with the reawakened storyline, in which a man gives birth.

Former GOP congressional candidate Robby Starbuck tweeted Friday, “Who else is sick of this madness?”

Many comic book lovers aren’t so keen on the new series, including former GOP conventionee Robby Starbuck. On Friday, he tweeted: “Who else is sick of this madness?

“In the new Joker comic, he becomes pregnant and gives birth to a child,” Starbuck wrote. Yes, the Joker is trans now. At least the character is the Joker, because a pregnant woman thinking she’s a pregnant man is the definition of a Joker.”

Conservative influencer Nick Adams also expressed anger at the latest DC stunt tweet on Thursday. ‘The Comics contains a scene where The Joker – a MAN – becomes pregnant,” he said.

‘That’s not how it works! I am calling for a complete and total BOYCOTT of The Joker until further notice.

He added, “What’s next, an all-electric Batmobile?!”

Some readers are suggesting this could be the graphic novel company’s way of creating a bright, LGBTQ-inclusive story in which the Joker is a transgender man who is pregnant, Fox News reported.

Matthew Rosenberg and Carmine Di Giandomenico created the ongoing series, published by DC Comics in 2002, in which the Joker plays the pregnant “Clown Prince of Crime”.

Part of the backstory revolves around the Joker who wanted to start a family. In pursuit of his goal, he tries to win the heart of the superheroine Zatanna, who can use her magical powers by speaking in reverse.

After refusing his advances, she casts a spell so no one can have the Joker’s baby, but instead he becomes pregnant and has his own baby, the news outlet reported.

DC Comics just keeps getting weirder and allowing more perverts and fetishists to make grotesque smut out of their classic characters,” tweeted comic artist and social media personality Ethan Van Sciver.

“Guys, BATMAN is your last sellable comic book franchise. Ordinary readers might not like Atomic Skull Joker giving a antenatal pelvic exam,” he said.

Some comic fans also shared their mixed reaction to the new storyline. One person commented that “comics have really lost their way,” reported The Direct.

While another person said so, “That’s why I stopped reading comics,” the news outlet said.

But others didn’t seem to mind, pointing out that “weird moments” like this were common in the Silver Age of comics.
