Everton are close to reaching an agreement with Al Ettifaq over the £10million sale of winger Demarai Gray. The transfer is scheduled to be completed today.
Mail Sports understand the deal will include a resale clause and the 27-year-old has been offered a four-year deal by the Saudi Arabian club, which is managed by Steven Gerrard.
The winger has been pretty clear about his desire to leave the club, citing a lack of respect from Sean Dyche, but the Everton manager tried to straighten things out on Tuesday.
Gray had informed the Everton boss last week that he had agreed a move, but Dyche stressed the club must first approve the deal before any player can leave.
Gray believes he was overlooked at key points last season, despite working hard in training and being given signs that if he maintained his level of training he would be picked.

Annoyed, he turned down training this pre-season after returning from international duty with Jamaica.
After a deadline-day move fell through, Dyche said Gray was still part of his squad, but the player shared on Instagram: “It’s so hard to play for someone who has no respect for you as a person.”
When Al Ettifaq returned to negotiations on Tuesday, Dyche decided to clarify the matter: “It’s unfortunate because I’m trying to keep our business in-house.” I think it’s right to respond on this occasion.
“Demarai made it clear that he felt he was getting a move (away from Everton) and he told us a move had taken place, which was interesting to hear from a player.”
“We have reminded him that no transfer will take place without the consent of this club.”
“We care about these players; We look at the different types of care: Mental and well-being are in the foreground, tactics and technology, physicality.
“When the time comes, you think, ‘Wait a minute.'” “You made it clear that you don’t want to train, that you don’t want to be here, and you also said that there is a change that is a done deal.”
“We said it’s not a done deal yet because this club is the most important.” This club will decide your future as a player and not the other way around.
“I think it’s right to let our fans know that’s the truth.”
