Didier Deschamps could ALREADY have changed his new four-year contract in France

Didier Deschamps could ALREADY have his new four-year contract in France altered to “allow for a possible exit in 2024” as pressure mounts on the country’s FA president Noel Le Graet following sexual harassment allegations
- Didier Deschamps recently signed a new four-year deal with France
- However, some of the FFF are not satisfied with the length of the contract
- They want the deal changed so he has the option to leave in 2024
- They feel taken aback by Noel Le Graet in giving Deschamps a long-term deal
- President Le Graet is under pressure after he was accused of sexual harassment
The French bosses are reportedly already looking to review Didier Deschamps’ new contract, giving him the option of stepping down from his role next year.
It was announced on Saturday that Deschamps will lead the national team until the 2026 World Cup, having signed a four-year deal with the French Football Federation (FFF) after guiding France to their second consecutive World Cup final last month.
However, L’Equipe have reported that some people on the FFF committee are unhappy with how Deschamps’ contract extension was handled behind their back by President Noel Le Graet, who was persuaded by Deschamps to give him a deal until after the tournament in North America.

The report claims Le Graet failed to mention giving Deschamps such a long contract at a meeting of the committee on Friday, just 24 hours before the announcement.
Some committee members would like to change the contract to give Deschamps the opportunity to give up his post in 2024 after the European Championships in Germany – coinciding with the end of Le Graet’s term as president.
However, whether Le Graet will stay in his position until then is in doubt after he was accused of “sexual harassment” by football agent Sonia Souid.
The 37-year-old agent claimed in a recent interview that Le Graet looks at her “like candy” and is only interested in her sexually. The football boss has not responded to the allegation.

Le Graet, 81, has also angered the French public with his derogatory comments about Zinedine Zidane after he was asked if he would consider appointing the former world champion as France manager in the future.
Le Graet responded by claiming he wouldn’t even pick up the ex-Real Madrid coach when he called to become France’s next manager.
Kylian Mbappe was particularly upset by Le Graet’s comments and jumped to Zidane’s defense by tweeting: “Zidane is France, we don’t disrespect the legend that much.”

Demonstrators gather in front of the FFF offices and demand that Le Graet step down as president
Le Graet has called an extraordinary board meeting for Wednesday morning and there is mounting pressure on him to step down after Souid’s allegations and comments about Zidane.
Demonstrators waited outside the FFF offices while the meeting took place, holding up placards calling for Le Graet to resign, with the inscription: “Sexual harassment: Le Graet resigns.”
Should he leave the position he has held for over 11 years, it could result in Deschamps’ contract being reviewed by the board and his successor.
